Flag Crafters maintains the only 6-color, dye-sublimation printer on the west coast. The 6-color printer produces exceptionally high quality pictures by printing fewer dots per image. Printed at 400 dpi, each image is sharp, clear and photo-realistic.

Dye-sublimation is a process that transfers images with the use of dyes. Once the images are printed on electrostatic donor paper, it undergoes heat, pressure and time variables in our secondary heat transfer machine. Once the toner is modified into gas form, it permeates the material providing vivid intense color. Synthetics such as polyester are well suited for this process. Flag Crafters operates the only two 6-color station dye-sublimation machines.
